Elżbieta Ulatowska, the lawyer running the E&P Service HR & payroll office in Poznań, during a consultation

My experience

My name is Elżbieta Ulatowska and I am a lawyer. I have worked in HR administration, payroll and labour law since 2002, first in a tax advisory office, and then in the HR department of a large manufacturing company, where I got to know HR and payroll from the perspective of an employer with dozens of staff.

I have run my own office, E&P Service, since June 2013. Day to day I handle what for many entrepreneurs is the most tedious and risky part: employee documentation, salary calculation and settlements with ZUS and the tax office. A legal education lets me read regulations with an understanding of context, not just literally, which in labour law can be the difference between a correct and a flawed document.

How I work

I focus on direct contact and clear communication. With me you do not reach a call centre, you talk to a person who knows your company and handles its affairs. I explain regulations in plain language and warn you about deadlines before they become a problem.

  • One responsible person, permanent contact, with no rotation of account managers and no handing over of matters.
  • Timeliness, I keep track of payday dates (art. 85 of the Labour Code), ZUS contributions and PIT filings.
  • Reliability, documentation and settlements compliant with the current Labour Code.
  • Confidentiality, I process HR and payroll data in line with GDPR, under a data processing agreement.

Cooperation with specialists

I do not pretend that one person knows everything. That is why, in more complex matters, I work as part of a team: in employee disputes and the interpretation of regulations I am supported by legal counsel (including representation before the labour court), I handle the area of workplace safety with an OHS specialist, and I align the company's settlements with accountants. As a result, the employer gets a consistent picture of their obligations, HR, payroll, tax and OHS, in one place.

Who I work for

I work with micro, small and medium-sized companies from Poznań and the surrounding area, across various industries: services, retail, manufacturing, construction and transport. Some clients entrust me with full payroll and HR services, others choose specific areas, such as payroll, HR administration or ZUS and PIT settlements. I also advise on matters within the scope of labour law.

If you are looking for someone to take over your company's HR and payroll and treat them with due diligence, I will be glad to learn about your needs and prepare an offer.

Frequently asked questions about us

Who runs the E&P Service HR & payroll office?

The E&P Service office is run by Elżbieta Ulatowska, a lawyer who has worked in HR administration, payroll and labour law since 2002. She has run her own office in Poznań since June 2013. It is one person responsible for the entire service, with no rotation of account managers.

Since when has E&P Service handled HR and payroll?

I have worked in HR administration, payroll and labour law since 2002, and I have run my own office, E&P Service, since June 2013. Earlier I gained experience in a tax advisory office and in the HR department of a large manufacturing company.

Does the office work with legal counsel and an OHS specialist?

Yes. In disputes and when interpreting regulations I am supported by legal counsel, and I handle the area of workplace safety in cooperation with an OHS specialist. I also work with accountants, so the employer gets a consistent picture of their obligations towards employees and authorities.

Will I have a permanent contact with one person?

Yes. Your company is handled by one responsible person who knows its specifics, you do not reach a call centre. This model ensures continuity and quick contact in urgent matters, for example before a payday or filing deadline.

What companies does E&P Service serve?

I serve micro, small and medium-sized companies from Poznań and the surrounding area, across various industries, services, retail, manufacturing, construction and transport. I also work remotely, so I cooperate with companies from all over Poland.

Why is it worth entrusting payroll and HR services to a lawyer?

HR and payroll is a YMYL area, an error in files, contributions or deadlines can cost a company interest or sanctions from the National Labour Inspectorate (PIP) and ZUS. Having the office run by a lawyer means that documentation and settlements are prepared with current provisions of the Labour Code in mind, and difficult employee matters are resolved with the support of legal counsel.
